The second round carling cup fixtures took Liverpool to League One club; Exeter while their rivals, Everton will start the campaign at home by facing Sheffield United. Liverpool have strengthen their squad by signing Charles Adam, Alexander Doni, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson and hope to perform better this season.

Xavi Alonso target move from Liverpool to Real Madrid

Liverpool midifielder Xavi Alonso have submitted request for transfer to Real Madrid.
The Spanish international had previously had a meeting with Liverpool FC manager Rafael Benitez regarding his plan to play for Real Madrid. Florentina Perez club previous bid £24m for Alonso was reject as Benitez set a player’s price at £30m.
