Newly promoted Norwich held Chelsea in a goal less draw as Fenarndo Torres misfire again in the crucial moments but this time the chance wasn't very open compared to teh famous Torres misfire against ManchesterUnited. The Spanish striker have now played 15 games without a goal since his double at home to Genk in Champions league. 

Andre Villas-Boas couldn't believe was he saw and he later opted to give opportunity for Romelu Lukaku. He express his frustration after the game "The second half was all ours. We finished with 12 shots on goal and we couldn't find the back of the net again,"  "It was a frustrating day."

Chelsea had once again being held to a 1-1 draw but this time to a team one place above it on premier league table as Emmanuel Adebayor and Daniel Sturrigde score and set to enter premier league top scorers table. Tottenham are will be on third place on this Christmas with a game on hand.

Chelsea FC manager Andre Villas-Boas was impressed by his team performance despite a draw.

Chelsea FC have secured a third consecutive crucial win after beating premier league leaders Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge and registered the first league loss for Mancini's boys and end Manchester City unbeaten run.

The win came after two over victories against Newcastle (3-0) and champions league decider match against Valencia (3-0). Having fall a goal behind just on second minutes after Mario Balotelli score the opener, Andre Villas-Boas's club was able to fight back and level the score on 34' minute through Raul Meireles. Manchester City were reduced to ten men after Gael Clicly received two yellow card and a third City red card in 6 premiership games. City self destruct continue when Joleon Lescott handed a ball on penalty box and Frank Lampard netted to give Chelsea a winner on 82'. Lampard who missed a penalty kick against Newcastle is now on level with 7 goals for Chelsea as Daniel Sturridge.

Once again Andre Villas-Boas praised his team 'Going 1-0 down so early in the game made things very difficult because it gave Man City even more motivation and belief,' He said.

Chelsea ended poor run of loosing to big teams having lost to Manchester United (3-1), Arsenal (5-3) and Liverpool (2-0) and move to third place, 7 points behind the league leaders and 5 behind second place Manchester United.

The league leader, Manchester City resumed to winning ways with a 5-1 win over Norwich to remain unbeaten in premier league. Narrow win for Manchester united to stay second as couple of injuries face both clubs
Phil Jones scored his first goal for Manchester United and the only goal of the matches to secure victory over Aston Villa and prolong United record over Villa to 16 years. Injuries continue mounting for both clubs as Hernandez, Shay Given and Jermaine Jenas got injured during the game.

Chelsea managed to collect all three points and three goals at Newcastle Sports Authority stadium a big boost ahead of crucial games against Valencia and Manchester City. Andre Villas-Boas was impressed by team performance despite failure of Chelsea player to convert easy chance especially by Didier Drogba, Daniel Sturridge Penalty miss by Frank Lampard. Andre Villas-Boas commented on solid performance and went on to say “3-0 was probably slightly excessive, but we were coming up against a team on a great run and with one of the best defences in the league, we did fantastically well, and it was the fairest of results”

Arsenal crushed Wigan Athletic 4-0 with goals coming from four different player Mikel Arteta (28'), Thomas Vermaelen (29'), Gervinho (61') and the current premiership top scorer Robin Van Persie (78') who added his goals tally to 14. Arsenal have now moved to fifth place in the Barclays Premier League table as Wigan being sent to 20th position due to poor goal difference.

The left footed Spanish midfielder looked very creative and completed most of the pass before he steal the ball from defender and score. Only three 3 minutes after introduction he managed to cross ball to Fenarndo Torres but his country mate head did not find the net.

Another Chelsea summer signing, Romelu Lukaku replaced Didier Drogba after the later got injured. Drogba collided with Norwich goalkeeper and knocked uncosious while still on air but then landed awfully. The Ivorian striker was carried out on strecher. Lukaku was carefully planing attacks and passed the ball very and looked very energetic. The situation looked promising for Chelsea after introduction of the two left footed new signings not only for this game but for all upcoming games.

Earlier Bosingwa opened the score before Norwich replay after Hilario mistakes. Anelka then released Ramires who won a penalty after being brought down by Norwich Goalkeeper and Lampard converted to make the score 2-1. Juan Mata seal the score with third goal for Chelsea.
