Manchester United has confirmed the signing of the England under 21 and Blackburn centre-half Phil Jones on 5 year contract. The 19 years old, is set to join another England under 21 player, Chris Smalling who have had a superb season with Manchester United last season.
In their statement; Manchester United said ''Manchester United is delighted to announce it has signed an agreement with Blackburn Rovers for the transfer of Phil Jones"
Sir Alex Ferguson is still chasing David De Gea signature as a replacement of Van Der Sar. De Gea featured against the duo,Phil Jones and chris Smalling in yesterday European championship kick-off in Demark.
